Woodworker/Maker (Contractor)
Location: Artisan’s Asylum in Brighton, MA
Pay: Unit based pay
Details: Compensation is calculated per completed unit. Volume depends on demand and seasonality. Anticipated range of 20-100 hours per month.

Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented maker to join our team on a contractor basis. This role involves working on both small production batches and custom furniture projects. The ideal contractor will have a background in arts, sculpture, woodworking, crafts, or millwork. Must have a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:

Own production results from raw wood stock to finished project batch

Balance high standards of craftsmanship with efficient production

Drive process and product improvements

Ability to work independently and be a self-starter

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient in using woodworking tools and machinery (CNC, tablesaw, jointer, planer, drill press, router table, sanding tools)

Willing to become a member at Artisan’s Asylum in Brighton
